The first step in choosing any handcrafted jewelry is to identify the materials being used. In my collections I use the primary components of polymer clay, stainless steel and sterling silver. I choose substances that are least likely to oxidize or tarnish even as they are.
I begin my jewelry making process by taking the extra step of sealing each piece of metal with “Eternal Jewelry Coating”, available on Amazon. I find this brand to be a real performer. I also recommend buying a like product to keep at home for periodic reapplication. Believe it or not, clear rust oleum spray paint works amazing!
Maintaining your jewelry with easy processes such as reapplication of sealant followed by a buffing cloth will ensure your purchase for many years.
